About Marianne
Marianne van Nunen is a painter of abstract as well as figurative art, and uses oil paint, acrylics and watercolours. She also makes sculptures in bronze.
During the past four years, in the peace and quiet of the French Ardennes, her work has become more visible through exhibitions, the website and her own gallery. To her, working in her studio, expressing herself via her paint brush, is the most precious thing there is – enjoying life in La Neuville à Maire, where Marianne lives.
Her work is characterized by the use of colour, and is inspired by the natural environment surrounding her. However, she can also create tension by contrasting black against white. This makes her work versatile and fascinating.
Marianne regularly organizes workshops in her studio, because she likes to share her passion for painting.
